About Us

At Ashley High School we pride ourselves on providing a rich and interesting curriculum to meet the needs of our students. As cohorts change on a yearly basis, our offer of programmes and qualifications may change, depending on timetabling, student ability and availability of courses.

For pupils starting September 2022 –
Introduction of new curriculum based around functional skills in core subjects that allows all pupils to receive some form of accreditation. Pupils will still follow the National Curriculum but will no longer be offered the opportunity to study GCSE’s Key Stage 4 and 5 - Functional skills qualifications to replace GCSEs in core subjects and introduction of courses that develop pupils well being and personal growth

Parents of academically able children, who consult with Ashley High School, will be encouraged to look at alternative provisions (mainstream, resource bases etc.) in order for them to achieve their academic potential as there will be no GCSE curriculum on offer.
