At Ashley High School we are proud to be able to deliver a Duke of Edinburgh programme that is tailored to meet the needs of all of our students. The young people at our school find the achievement of the D of E a fun adventure where lifelong experiences and memories are created. We offer the three progressive Award levels at (Bronze, Silver and Gold) which is encompassed by a range of fun activities, push personal boundaries, gain lasting skills and increase their chances of employability with a nationally recognised and valued qualification.
The D of E is delivered to students in KS4 and KS5. In order to achieve the award students must complete a programme of physical, skill and volunteering sections and complete an expedition. Students have the freedom to choose which activities they wish to undertake for their physical, skills and volunteering.
The Duke of Edinburgh's programme at Ashley High School will be a real adventure as well as challenge; it's different for everybody and everybody will grow from the experience. The D of E will be a valuable addition to your CV when applying to colleges or employers but most of all it will give positive memories that will last a life time.
