At Ashley High School, we recognise that many of our pupils have complex needs that make traditional remote education challenging.
When remote education is necessary (e.g. during periods of school closure), we provide:
Personalised home learning packs, adapted for each child’s needs and learning goals
Regular contact with families via phone or video calls, to support both learning and wellbeing
On-site provision for vulnerable pupils and those with EHCPs, wherever possible and in line with government guidance
Resources and guidance for parents/carers to support learning at home, including visual schedules, sensory activities, and communication aids
We work closely with families to review and adapt our approach, ensuring all pupils continue to receive the support they need.
