Halton Speak Out 10-week theatre programme

Halton Speak Out in partnership with Halton Borough Council are getting ready to launch their next 10-week theatre programme starting in September. This is a great chance for any young person with an interest in the performing arts to get involved in something truly creative and exciting that they can lend their unique talents too.

There is a wealth of information on the link including a break down of what to expect from each week and what support they can offer so please have a look at that as it is really comprehensive.

Our Next Quarter is Nearly Here!

We’re getting ready to welcome another group of young people to Write It, Act It, Perform It! And we couldn’t be more excited!

Our first and second quarters have been a huge success, giving our young people the opportunity to explore important themes and share their own experiences through creativity, discussions and performance. So far we’ve explored topics such as ADHD, Dyslexia, Differences are our powers & transition from primary to secondary and much more.

The groups have shown incredible imagination, confidence and teamwork, developing new skills, making new friends and creating something truly unique together.

Key insights from the last two quarters have been:

·        Working with professional artists

·        Exploring issues that matter to young people

·        Building confidence through creativity and performance

·        Creating an original theatre piece from scratch

Our next quarter (Quarter 3) is aimed at young people aged 15–19, with those aged 19–25 also welcome to take part if they are a young carer or have SEND

Our first session, the introductory session will take place on Wednesday 23rd September, providing young people and their parents or carers with the opportunity to meet the project team, learn more about the programme and ask any questions they may have before the sessions officially begin.
