Sport and Active Leisure is designed to enhance learners' work and life skills in a vocational context. The courses in Sport and Active Leisure have been developed to give learners the opportunity to experience both on and off site experiences such as gym visits, fitness classes and an introduction to personal fitness. Students will also:
- engage in learning which is relevant to them and will provide opportunities to develop a range of sporting skills and techniques, personal skills and attributes essential for successful performance in working life
- achieve a nationally recognised vocationally related qualification
- progress to employment in sport and active leisure
- progress to related general and/or vocational qualifications.
