This 1-year course aims to support students in bridging the gap between Year 11 and Post-16 Education. It is intended for those learners who have achieved the necessary academic qualifications to progress on to mainstream college but require further support to explore career aspirations and develop the confidence and independence needed to take the next steps. Students will have the opportunity to study a range of qualifications whilst developing personal, social, employability and independent living skills. Throughout the course you will have the support and guidance of both a Personal Tutor and Careers Guidance Coach who will help you make important decisions about your next steps. The bridging course will cover the following key areas -
Academic - Students will study English, Maths and ICT until they have achieved a GCSE Grade 4 or equivalent (FS Level 2).
Vocational - Our Level 1 Vocational Studies programme will give students the opportunity to explore various employment sectors, including -
